I'm F*#*ed or Really Lucky!

anyone got an extra wig or breast prosthesis or knows where I need to go to get one?

I guess all these minor details will sort themselves out eventually.

According to the Stanford tumor board, I'm looking at chemo for 2 - 3 months to shrink the tumor, then a complete mastectomy of my left breast, then a round of radiation for 6 weeks. That's if they don't find anything anywhere else - which will be determined by bonescans, catscans, blood tests, etc., etc.

I feel lucky that I got this checked out before I was dead. And to think that I thought that the real problem I had to fix was migraines...

Going over my history again and again with docs today has been really depressing and humiliating. I have been in such denial for so long.

But now I know what's in store and got directions from the specialists at Stanford who only work with breast tumors. With 80% of tumors being breast tumors though, many oncologists are breast tumor savvy anyway.

So Monday at 2:40pm is my first visit to interview an oncologist at home. I will let you know how that goes.
